A heartwarming and culturally rich moment unfolded on Sunday afternoon at the western gate of the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. A group of female tourists from Italy, dressed in sarees to embrace Indian tradition, found themselves in an awkward situation as their sarees began to come undone at the entrance. Seeing their discomfort, Lady Constable Laxmi, deployed for Taj Mahal security, stepped in to help them. She not only helped them drape the sarees properly but also offered a glimpse of India's warm hospitality leaving the tourists smiling and deeply touched by the gesture.

Difficulty in Draping the Saree

The incident happened around 3 PM on Sunday, when a group of tourists from Italy arrived to visit the Taj Mahal. Some women in the group had draped pink and blue sarees over their casual outfits and were wearing shoes. As they reached the entrance of the monument, sarees of two women began to come loose. Despite several attempts, they were unable to fix them properly, which made them feel awkward and uneasy.

Female Constable Stepped In to Help

Seeing this situation, female constable Laxmi, deployed for security at the Taj Mahal, could not hold back. She immediately stepped forward and began assisting the foreign women in draping their sarees correctly. Laxmi showed them how to arrange the pallu and make the pleats. During this time, the tourists enthusiastically recorded the process on video and got a hands-on experience of wearing traditional Indian attire. The tourists were overjoyed by Laxmi’s help, and their faces lit up with smiles.

Tourists Praised the Gesture Wholeheartedly

Not only did the foreign tourists appreciate Laxmi’s thoughtful gesture, but the other tourists and bystanders present there also captured the moment on their phones and video cameras. The tourists thanked Laxmi and also praised Sub-Inspector Shivraj Singh and his entire team stationed at the Taj Mahal.
